On the southern tip of San Pedro, California exists a coastal area scattered with broken pieces of concrete covered in graffiti, shaded by palm trees, and complemented by beautiful views of the Pacific Ocean. This place is known as the “Sunken City” and its unique aesthetic appeal drew the Jaefields crew to it for their photoshoot for “Summer of Cool Season 3.”
The five-day trip consisted of four days of shooting the new collection and one day dedicated to exploring Fairfax Ave. The photographer for the photoshoot was Henry Ammann, another Portlander. For those of you who have never been to Fairfax Ave., it is a street in Los Angeles notorious for containing a wealth of culture. Some of the more notable shops explored included Supreme and FourTwoFour, but the team also did a fair amount of thrifting. If there is one thing that Fairfax is not lacking, it’s inspiration; what a more perfect location for artists and creators to spend time.
Season 3 of “Summer of Cool” features the Brae Premium shirt in black, white, beige, and olive. This season also includes the Burnside Tank in heather gray, the Capital shirt in rust, and the Sunday Shorts (a personal favorite). This season will also include unreleased products that will be available at the grand opening of the By the Collective store on Pine St. in downtown Portland in June. Some of these unseen products are a black and white flannel and a Premium Burnside long sleeve!
Summer of Cool is back everyone – It’s Season 3 and it’s never been cooler. Available now in store and Jaefields online store.
